Last year, I started to draw things using pictures as models. So far, the practice has done well for my creative side and even more for my mood when I succeed to get the result I'm after. I may never become a better artist than the other artists who put their work on deviantART, but that's not really my goal. I just want to be able to draw good enough to satisfy myself and that's hard enough as it is.
A couple of months ago, I attempted to draw a picture of my best friend for the second time. Drawing her has proven to be extremely difficult for an amateur like me, because I keep getting her face to look like it was drawn by a newspaper charicaturist. Since I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to details, it's bugging me very much that I can't get her face to look realistic enough. Yet this last attempt made a nice picture for what I had in mind and made a great gift for her birthday a few days ago. After showing her the result, I recieved plenty of thanks and compliments from both her and her family as well as requests for printed copies. What I had done, was draw a picture of my friend holding her nephew and add a text based on a quote from her family about how great aunts are. She's without a doubt a wonderful aunt to her siblings' children and one of the most good-hearted people I've ever met and to make her happy with something so simple as a drawing was more than I could hope for. The drawing, named "Proud Aunty Sickan", can be found in my gallery.

Photography - The Fast Way to Create Art
I envy artists who can do amazing things in to time at all. It takes me ages to create even the most simple of creations, like plushies, magnets, clothing and drawings. Drawings are the one thing that takes up most of my time, because I have an obsessive eye for details. I always attempt to make my drawings look as identical to my visions or models as possible, which isn't possible for a rookie like me to do at such an early stage. I'm still practicing to draw and hope that I'll manage to do well enough to let myself post my drawings here, but there are times when even I need something to speed up the process a bit.
That's what I love about
The Ultimate Goal - To Draw Comics
In my opinion, there should never be a justice-lacking world without heroes. Unfortunately, that's how reality works. In the world of DC- and Marvel-style comics, however, heroes of some sorts are always there to save the day, but that's not what this entry's all about. The art of drawing those kinds of comics has always fascinated me. I still can't believe how people can draw people objects and other creatures and things with such detail, they look almost lifelike and real. I hope I learn to draw that well in the near future, but at least I'm learning (or trying to anyway)...
I've never been good at drawing, because it takes a lot of my pat
Writing's my Lucky Charm
I love writing. Whenever I write something, I feel good, especially when I finish. Unfortunately, I'm not patient enough to wait until I finish, which is bad when you're trying to write books. I've got several books on hold because I keep getting stuck and when I'm stuck, I get so bored, I start on something new. Very annoying.
Lately, I've been going through some old files. I found old poetry, barely-finished books and short-stories that I haven't looked through in years. I've already started to put up a few of the ones I found in English on my account here and more will come when I'm up to it. I've also been writing a new book and will pub
Paper Should Never Be Thrown Away
I've never liked to throw things away. Like the environmentalist that I am, I recycle whatever I can and only throw the completely useless junk into the trash. But some things can't be thrown away or recycled without risks, like phonenumbers, bank letters or magazines with adresses. In my neighbourhood, they rummage through the trash sometimes for many reasons, like identity theft, bank account cleansing or simply to track you down because they wish to fine those who didn't dispose of the garbage properly. Fortunately, I have a solution for that problem. When I was a little girl, I used to make paper by mixing toiletpaper with water. I also g
