Proud Aunty Sickan

I've tried several times to draw my best friend, which has proved to be extremely difficult. Everytime I try, the drawing ends up looking like a newspaper charicature. Well, at least it makes a good gag gift, because today's her birthday and I want to make her something special. It would have been a Christmas gift if I didn't have something better to give at the time. This is also my first attempt to ink a drawing manually and as you might see, I could use some practice in that field too. As for the text and frame, it was done in MS Publisher.

My favourite photograph of my friend is when she's holding her baby nephew, who's now 5 years old. I don't see love between familymembers a lot and her family's got more love for each other than any other family I've ever met in my life, so it's no wonder why I tried so hard to draw that specific picture. Chances are I might try to draw it again someday and hopefully, I'll be skilled enough to make my friend look more realistic...
